I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. I journeyed from this beautiful place that nurtured me to attend Wheaton College outside of Chicago, Illinois. I have also explored Ireland, Mexico, and Haiti in my quest to know the world and to spread hope and joy to those yet without it. I was a Spanish teacher for three years in my hometown (and the school I attended myself!), and then left to pursue a Masters degree in counseling from Westminster Seminary, located outside of Philadelphia. It was here that I met and married my husband, Seth, and we laugh about our “cross-cultural marriage” since he hails from northern New Jersey. We moved from Philly to Norfolk, Virginia, where Seth is the associate pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church and I work as a full-time mother of twin daughters born in September 2010 and a part-time counselor. Life is many things in this new season of life, but it is certainly not boring!

Hey Heather!
Just checked out this new blog of yours. Looks like you and Seth are doing well and still plugging away at seminary–but did you graduate? Andrew (my husband) is still doing the same. In fact, I’m auditing Hebrew with him starting Monday…well, that’s the plan anyway. I’m prepared to admit defeat if it’s too much to handle.
Love ya,
Lauren (Tanana) Frith

Wow, I read some of your most recent blog about the changing pregnant body and how we feel experiencing that change. Really good stuff here. Wow, you should send some of this into a christian magazine or focus on the family magazine. Really good!! Ruth
